The novel became an instant classic and was adapted to movie form three times. Since then the book has become something of a cult classic, with fans including Stephen King, who discussed the novel in his 1981 book Danse Macabre and mentions it in his novel/miniseries "IT". Siodmak later wrote a quasi-sequel in 1968 entitled Hauser's Memory.

Nice hardcover book: Pages are tanned, but are free of markings (previous owners name in pencil inside 1st page). Binding is tight.

DUST JACKET is in okay condition with vibrant color. NOTE- A few rips/chips/tears to edges of DJ front and back. Larger piece missing from DJ at bottom right of front cover.
