284pp , About the author- Camilo José Cela Trulock1 ( Padrón, May 11, 1916 ?? Madrid, January 17, 2002 ), known as Camilo José Cela, was a Spanish writer. Prolific author ( as a novelist , journalist, essayist, editor of literary magazines , lecturer ... ) , was academic of the Royal Spanish Academy and won , among others, the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1989; the Cervantes Prize in 1995 and the Prince of Asturias Prize for Literature in 1987. For his literary merits , in 1996 he was awarded the Marqués de Iria Flavia .. In 1938 , concludes Treading the dubious daylight , surreal poems , when the civil war has broken out and is besieged Madrid ( the book would be published later in 1945 ) . In 1942 he published The Family of Pascual Duarte , novel set in rural Extremadura before the Civil War and during it and in which the protagonist tells the story of his life in which the raw violence occurs only answer who knows the troubles of its existence.
