Boxed collection of Lethal Foes of Spiderman issues 1-4 a  follow-up to the Deadly Foes of Spider-Man limited series. It begins with the imprisoned Otto Octavius forced to sit helplessly by as government agents destroy the mechanical arms that had once made him Doctor Octopus. Octavius still shares a bond with the arms, however, and he feels their destruction even though he is physically some 2,000 miles away from them when they are destroyed.

Then, someone—or something— contacts Octavius over the same psychic link that had once connected him to his arms. It turns out that the criminal once known as the Answer has regained an incorporeal awareness after his apparent disintegration in Spectacular Spider-Man #96. Now he seeks Octavius’ help in recovering his physical form. Meanwhile, the Vulture, the Rhino, Boomerang, and Hardshell have rejoined forces…all in order to gain revenge on the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!
