Hardcover adaptation of the Elric novel and stories written by Michael Moorcock. A high fantasy character, Elric is a tall albino prince who possesses (or is possessed by) the rune-carved black sword Stormbringer which gives him strength, but at a price. He exists in a world where the eternal struggle between the forces of law and chaos leads to conflict and magical situations. This particular story is about his quest for the Dead Gods book, a powerful source of mystical knowledge.

Michael Moorcock’s Elric has become one of the most important figures of the sword and sorcery genre. The albino king of the magical land of Melniboné, Elric is a legend of furrowed brow and wizardly power. Son of Sadric LXXXVI, he was a sickly child, dependent upon magical potions to maintain his strength. As it turns out, he’ll need great strength indeed if he is to forestall the doom that threatens his kingdom.
