The Cases of Sherlock Holmes had two purposes during its run. The first purpose was to retell the famous stories about the master detective as written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Renegade Press did this by actually reprinting the stories in their entirety, along with pen-and-ink illustrations. The series’ second purpose was to tell the biography of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Each issue of the series carried a few pages about the celebrated English author. The biography was written by Gordon Derry
