Retells the Merlinian portion of Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae (History of the Kings of Britain). Told from the point of view of both Uther and Merlin through a series of flashbacks to explain why Uther is the half dead king of the title

5th Century Britain. Rome's Legions have gone leaving chaos. Deposed King Vortigern flees to Wales, where he meets an ageless, inhuman youth sired by a demon. His name is Merlin and he foretells the coming of the true king, Uther, head of the Pendragon dynasty, who with vengeance in his heart and battle in his blood, will reunite the British Isles and drive the invaders back into a sea turned red with blood; and how, then victory is in his grasp, his lust for another's wife will send it slipping from his hand, bringing chaos and anarchy, but also bringing into the world a son who will be the greatest hero of all time - King Arthur.

CONDITION of Book is VERY GOOD or BETTER Some very minor softness overall to covers from being read, handled and stored. Minor wear to cover edges & slight stress at spine.
